Vegas Baby!!

The Vegas trip was short but awesome. We brought the camera but didn't take as many pictures as we would have liked, Here's the best of what we took. We left home on Sunday around 9am dropped off Dan at his grandma's and were on the road by 10am..

We got into Mesquite Nevada around 8pm and stayed at The Virgin River Casino Sunday night..  Back on the road Monday at 9am.
Made it in to Circus Circus around 11:30 Monday, got checked in, unpacked and headed to the Hoover dam!  We were only here for 2 days so we didn't want to waste time!  The Hoover dam is pretty cool but you'll save the price of a tour by looking at the picture of the generators, it was the only thing we got to see...

Got back to the Circus Circus around 6pm went to the buffet and headed out on the strip!!  First stop was The Mirage where we picked up tickets for the Tuesday showing of Siegfried and Roy...  Headed down to Fremont street downtown and watched the Fremont experience. It's was incredible!  Unfortunately we didn't bring the camera so no good pictures but we walked the strip till 2 in the morning before heading back to the room....
Tuesday was Anniversary day!! Didn't get out of bed till about 1pm (wink wink nudge nudge) and headed over to the NASCAR Cafe for  lunch...

After lunch it was off to the Luxor, snap a few photo's, then back to the room to get ready for the show.

Siegfried and Roy is an awesome show! we had seats down in the orchestra pit area so the stage was all around us...  At one point Roy brought one of the tigers within 2 feet of us! Nothing like a bunch of uncaged white tigers and elephants walking around you! The magic was really good, at one point they made the elephant disappear then reappear again.. We were within 30 feet and couldn't figure out how they did it... Show ended around 9:30
After the show it was off to the Bellagio for dinner, the water shows there are the best show on the strip we spent probably 2 hours here across the 2 day's. After the Bellagio it was off to The Paris hotel. The inside is like a cobblestone street and the ceiling is painted blue with clouds all around..  Sadly we didn't get pictures here either...  Back to the room around 2am.
Bummer, time to go home... Up at 8am pack up and checkout..  Did a little souvenir shopping and we were out of there by 12 Denver time...  Drove straight through and made it home by 11:30pm. Rolled over 800 miles for the trip when we pulled in the driveway in 11.5 hours. Not too bad!!  Here's some photo's of the drive home.
